Interoperabilityis a property referring to the ability of diverse systems and organizations to work together (inter-operate). The term is often used in a technical systems engineering sense, or alternatively in a broad sense, taking into account social, political, and organizational factors that impact system to system performance.

This area of Open is dedicated to supporting collaboration on current Group-wide initiatives that will enhance and add value to our products and services whether global or local.
We call it Sage Interop because it is about supporting inter-operation of our various products and services across the Sage Group and also creating an environment in which our people and teams can inter-operate with each other ever more effectively.
So what is on this site?
The site currently provides details of two important new product interoperability initiatives.

Sage Data (SData)
Sage Data or SData for short is the exciting new technology that Sage has developed to integrate Sage products worldwide. It enables desktop, server, and web-based applications to communicate with each other, and also with third party applications and the World Wide Web.
